TRI-MODALITY REJUVENATION

TriBella™ Skin Renewal

A tri-modality facial therapy performed on the Venus Versa™ system—combining photorejuvenation (IPL), DiamondPolar™ (MP² RF + PEMF) and NanoFractional RF™ (Viva) to support the look of tone, tightness and texture.

Individual outcomes differ. Treatment suitability is assessed during consultation. We use the Venus Versa™ platform and manufacturer-approved applicators/filters.

THE THREE PILLARS

Tone, tightness and texture — in one protocol

TriBella™ combines three modalities on the Venus Versa™ platform: photorejuvenation (IPL), DiamondPolar™ (MP² RF + PEMF) and NanoFractional RF™ (Viva)—each focused on a different dimension of visible skin quality.

01

Photofacial (IPL) — Tone

IPL delivers broad-spectrum light that is absorbed by skin chromophores. In practice, treatment parameters and filters are selected based on the concern—commonly involving melanin (pigment) and haemoglobin (redness).

02

DiamondPolar™ (MP² RF + PEMF) — Tightness

DiamondPolar™ combines multi-polar radiofrequency (RF) with pulsed electromagnetic fields (PEMF). It is designed to deliver controlled thermal energy to support the appearance of firmness.

03

NanoFractional RF™ (Viva) — Texture

NanoFractional RF is used for skin resurfacing and is described for improving the appearance of textural concerns such as enlarged pores, uneven texture and acne-scar texture.

THE PROTOCOL

What happens in a TriBella session

TriBella™ follows a set applicator order, with a 10-minute pause between steps: Photofacial (IPL) → DiamondPolar™ (MP² RF + PEMF) → NanoFractional RF™ (Viva).

10-minute pause

One session usually lasts around one and a half hours.

DiamondPolar™ (MP² RF + PEMF)

A firming step performed after the pause, using multi-polar RF with pulsed electromagnetic fields (PEMF).

The final step uses NanoFractional RF™ for resurfacing-focused treatment, completing the tri-modality session.

EVIDENCE & RESULTS

An evidence-led treatment plan

Below is the manufacturer-recommended treatment plan and an example of results from certified Venus providers.

Recommended series

3 sessions, spaced every 4–5 weeks.

When results are typically most noticeable

Best results are often visible ~3 months after the third session.

Maintenance

One touch-up session every 6 months (as advised).

Evidence note: In a prospective study on nanofractional radiofrequency for wrinkles and acne-scar texture, subjects reported satisfaction with improvement following treatment.

SUITABILITY & SAFETY

Who TriBella is best suited for

TriBella combines light- and heat-based technologies (IPL photorejuvenation and radiofrequency-based treatment). IPL systems use flashlamps and filters to deliver selected wavelength ranges, so parameters must be tailored to skin type and concern. We assess Fitzpatrick skin type, recent sun exposure/tanning, photosensitising medicines or supplements, and relevant medical history before treatment.

OFTEN CONSIDERED

Often considered (appearance-based)

Benign uneven pigmentation (e.g., freckles, sun-related spots) — commonly treated with IPL after assessment.

Benign vascular redness (appearance-based) — IPL may be considered when appropriate.

Visible pores, scars (including acne-scar texture) and other surface texture imperfections (resurfacing-focused step).

Deep wrinkles / lines where resurfacing may be considered (assessment required).

WE MAY POSTPONE

We may postpone or advise against treatment

Pregnancy: we typically postpone IPL / energy-based treatments due to limited safety data

Oral retinoids (e.g., isotretinoin) or recent prescription changes — disclose all medicines and supplements.

Recent sun exposure / tanning (including fake tan) — higher risk of adverse effects.

Photosensitising medicines or supplements (including herbal products).

Pacemaker/defibrillator or other active electrical implants.

Active infection/rash/open skin in the treatment area, or heat-triggered herpes history.

Patch test (if higher risk)

A test patch may be performed on a small area. Up to 48 hours should be allowed to assess any adverse reaction before proceeding with a full treatment.

Suitability, parameters and protective measures are confirmed after assessment and, when appropriate, patch testing.

POST-TREATMENT GUIDE

Downtime and aftercare

TriBella combines three modalities in one visit, so downtime can last 3–5 days. Skin may feel warm (like a sunburn) and can remain red for up to a few days. Aftercare is confirmed after assessment and your provider’s instructions.

0–24 hours

  • Skin may feel warm (sunburn-like) and look flushed.

  • Keep skin bare — use only products recommended by your provider.

  • Begin avoiding hot baths, massages, and direct-contact treatments.

Days 1–2

  • Continue avoiding hot baths, massages, and direct-contact treatments for 2–3 days.

  • Once skin is fully healed, begin SPF 30+ (often 24–48 hours after healing).

  • No tanning or self-tanners on treated areas.

Days 3–5

  • This is the typical visible downtime window for the combined protocol.

  • Makeup is usually resumed after a few days, as advised.

  • Keep sun protection consistent.

Beyond day 5

  • Sun protection supports longevity — protecting skin from the sun helps results last longer.

  • Avoiding direct sun should remain part of long-term skincare.

What to do

  • Use SPF 30+ once skin is fully healed.

  • Follow your provider’s cleansing/product instructions.

  • If blistering, increasing swelling, crusting, or signs of infection occur, contact your provider.

What to avoid

  • Direct sun exposure, tanning beds, and self-tanning products on treated areas during healing.

  • Hot baths, massages, and any direct-contact treatments for the first 2–3 days.

  • Applying skincare or makeup until your provider says it’s safe.

0–24 hours

  • Skin may feel warm (sunburn-like) and look flushed.

  • Keep skin bare — use only products recommended by your provider.

  • Begin avoiding hot baths, massages, and direct-contact treatments.
